Abstract

This research examined the efficacies of guided discovery and lecture method on the academic attainment of students in Financial Accounting concepts. The non-randomized pre-test, post-test, control group quasi-experimental design was adopted, while the intervening variables of gender were varied as male and female, and socio-economic status at high, middle, and low levels. This study presents the teaching prospects of guided discovery instructional strategy for improving students’ academic attainment in Financial Accounting.
