Abstract

The article analyzes the impact of the information disseminated by Soviet Lithuania on the Lithuanian diaspora and its reverberations, using classical historical and communication (quantitative and statistical analysis of content) research methods. The aim is to investigate how Lithuanian diaspora organizations in the USA (actors of the process) treated the Soviet public communication that reached them, how they used it, checked it and broadcast it. The research focuses on the content analysis of two periodicals, “Darbininko” and “Laisvės”, of the Lithuanian diaspora, description of the access to the research and discussion of the obtained results.
