The commentary, based on relevant legal acts, the European Union Directive, and other significant legal sources, analyzes the issue of confidentiality in attorney-client communication within the context of criminal proceedings. While the principle of confidentiality itself is not new, its implementation throughout the course of criminal proceedings presents specific challenges, particularly concerning the actions of law enforcement authorities and their ability to restrict this right.
