Teacher expressions of the team leadership in project activities of preschool organizations

In order to optimize the quality of organizational activities, teams are increasingly involved in the design and implementation of various projects, ranging from small group activities, larger events across the whole institution, to raising European funds to improve the educational institution. The object of the research – attitudes of educators. The aim of the research is to reveal the teachers’ attitudes towards the expression of team leadership in the project activities of preschool institutions. Data were collected from September to December of 2018. 153 preschool educators and 57 preschool managers and deputy heads from all over Lithuania participated in the research. The findings of the study revealed that leadership credibility is an essential aspect of team leadership. Teachers’ attitudes towards team leadership expression in pre-school projects are reflected in (1) involvement of teachers in various activities of the institution: one of the main activities is project development and implementation; (2) through the impact of change on the institution through projects of all kinds, (3) encouraging enthusiasm, motivation, innovation, team spirit, dedication to the work of educators.
