Abstract

Employees are one of the most important resources that determine the success and competitiveness of an organization. Organizations cannot properly achieve their goals without qualified and loyal professionals.

In today’s business world, organizations often face the challenges of changing and retaining a skilled workforce. Employees who are satisfied with their jobs tend to be more committed to the organization and to achieving its goals. The analysis of Lithuanian and foreign scientific literature sources revealed that employee loyalty and determination to stay in the organization is determined by many organizational and individual factors. Different authors emphasize in the scientific literature that in order to maintain a skilled workforce, it is important for organizations to understand the factors that determine organizational commitment, use this knowledge to strengthen their team, and take appropriate human resource management measures to meet the expectations of all employee groups.
