Abstract

Abstract. The publication presents a collection of photographs from the end of the 19th century by Daunorava Latvians – Dundurnieki (Joniškis parish) collected in 2016–2019 (1,270 items). Methods used in the research were: interview, genealogical, source and literature analysis, typological, and comparative. It is a valuable source of local history in terms of quantity and content to study the anthropology of Latvians living in the northern part of Lithuania, the genealogy of individual families, their daily lives, customs, holidays, education, social and economic activities, clothing, homesteads, huts or their details and more.
