Abstract

Annotation. Te study aims to reveal the changes in the marriage institute in Lithuanian society in 1918–1940. Te article evaluates statistical-demographic data, analyses discussions on the introduction of civil registration and analyzes Marriage Law project which was drafed (but not adopted).
