Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze some psychological-social theories of risky behavior of young people with fewer opportunities and highlight preventional measures in the non-formal (leisure) environment. The methods of research such as literature analysis, systematization, synthesis, and generalization are used in the article. The article includes two main parts. The first part analyzes the theories presenting the risk of psychological-social in order to clarify the reasons why young people behave in risky ways. It is concluded that the risky behavior of young people is biologically unavoidable, so it can be assumed that young people will always be at risk. Young people behave riskily because of family living conditions, peer impact, environmental factors leading to their thinking and their ability to make logical decisions. The second part highlights the preventional measures of young people with fewer opportunities in the non-formal (leisure) environment. It concludes that preventive measures such as: creation of employment groups, and implementation of artistic-social projects are amongst the most effective ways to change the self-perception and the surrounding environment of young people with fewer opportunities and thus modify their risky behavior.
