Data of the field experiment performed at the VDU ŽŪA Experimental Station in 2022 used in the paper. Productivity of milk thistle and elements of higher productivity (yield structure) were evaluated. By applying the methods of correlation-regression analysis, it was estimated which elements of productivity depend on the productivity of milk thistle seeds. This analysis can answer the question of how many crops to aim for in order to maximize the seed yield of this plant. The highest productivity of milk thistle determined by the number of inflorescences per unit area - the highest for this indicator, and seed productivity also increased. There is also a clear trend that the density of the crop before harvesting is of great importance for the yield. As the crop density increased, the seed yield also increased. No significant correlation was found between true seed yield and plant height, 1000 seed weight, plant weight per unit area and average weight per plant.
