Abstract

This article describes the issue at hand – impact of non - traditional agriculture on rural development. This is relevant because there is a not of non-traditional farming in rural areas in Lithuania. The unconventional impact of the farm help the village to gain greater prospects that helps the village to develop and give vitality and exclusivity. The aim of the study is to determine the impact of changed non-traditional agriculture on the development of rural areas. The following tasks have been set: to examine the branches of non-traditional agriculture, to assess the impact of non-traditional farming on the development of rural areas. Selected research methods: empirical research, content analysis was used to search for information. Conclusions: the branches of non-traditional agriculture  were found, their uniqueness and interest are emphasized, development of rural areas, emergence of additional jobs, educational programs, emergence of products, villages are becoming more famous.
