REASEARCH OF ABANDONED LANDS IN ŠIAULIAI AND KURŠĖNAI CITIES AND IN THEIR CIRCULAR ELDERSHIPS

Abstract

Abandoned lands is one of significant problem in the world, no exception Lithuania. This occurrence influence by many factors - economic, social, moral and natural. In this work was used literature sources, statistical and cartographic material analysis, mapping, graphical representation, mathematical (logical) methods. Data analysis revealed that elderships (Ginkūnų, Meškuičių, Kairių) who were near Šiaulių city on average has 90,00 proc. less abandoned lands than others elderships. In Ginkūnų eldership research criteria was number of villages, villages with and without abandoned lands, abandoned lands areas and they avrages, avrage abandoned land areas and number in the villages the smallest then remaining Šiaulių district.
