Abstract

Agriculture is a special sector of the economy, which does not only supply a job for people, but is also is their lifestyle. Due to its specificity (seasonality, multifunctionality, etc.), compared to other economic activities, it is difficult to determine exactly how many people work in it and which effects are created. Employment in the agricultural sector creates certain effects, that can be determined as consequences or outcomes which are important to each country. Economic effects are one of the main effects of agricultural employment. Therefore, the aim of this work is to analyze the peculiarities of employment in agriculture and reveal its economic effects. To achieve this goal, the specifics of employment in the agricultural sector were examined, data sources and evaluation indicators of employment in the agricultural sector also have been examined, economic effects of employment have been identified and the theoretical framework of economic effects of agricultural employment has been proposed.
