Abstract

Due to the topographic conditions of the country - pure lowlands, unconventional "hidden" or in-conduit hydropower, mainly sewage networks with free gravitational flow, can be attractive for obtaining hydropower. Various types of turbines can be used to install a micro hydroelectric plant. Most of them are not suitable for "hidden" hydropower in the conditions of the plains. The most suitable turbine types are the propeller turbine and the pump as a turbine. They can be installed in sewer networks with minimal cost.
