INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS IN GRAIN FARMING IN LITHUANIA: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND THE EFFICIENCY OF GRAIN DRYING

Abstract

The article presents innovative solutions and advanced grain drying technologies applied in cereal farms, reviews the significance and benefits of a smart grain drying system, evaluates smart grain drying systems and their advantages, and will help farmers assess their grain growing capacities and determine which of the presented grain growing systems meets their needs, ensuring efficient crop drying processes. During the interview, the question was examined: what is the need, benefit, necessity of a smart grain drying system in the company ,,X”, what type is needed for the system to operate smoothly? In order to answer this question, a semi-structured interview was applied, in which a farmer from the farm of the company ,,X“ participated. After summarizing the interview results, it was determined that the farm belonging to the company ,,X“ plans to submit applications for 2023 - 2027. EU supports organic grain cultivation and the acquisition of a smart grain drying system, because smart grain drying technologies help ensure efficient grain drying processes.
