Abstract

The concept of sustainable development, which has been transformed into 17 goals of sustainable development, includes changes in the environment and human behavior is very important for the society of the 21st century. Organizations increasingly follow the principles of sustainable development when creating and developing their businesses, but specific sustainable development goals are rarely included in the company's goals and do not become the basis of all its activities. The analysis, comparison and other methods of scientific literature, legal acts and strategic documents are aimed at analyzing the regulation of project sustainability criteria at the international and national level. The study found that the regulation of project sustainability criteria is defined by such key documents as: National Sustainable Development Policy, 2020; Lithuania 2030 - General Plan, 2019; On the approval of the National Progress Plan for 2021-2030 2020; Lithuanian Regional Policy White Paper 2017; 3D-714 Regarding the measure “Investments in tangible assets” of the Lithuanian Rural Development Program 2014–2020, 2020; 2005 September 20 Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), 2010; 1V-36 On the Approval of the Rules for the Preparation of Local Development Strategies (2015) Lithuanian Agriculture and Rural Development 2023–2027.
