The aim of this research work is to investigate the parameters of repair electromagnetic injectors by changing their opening time at a certain pressure, thus assessing its impact on the efficiency of the injectors and the optimization of the spraying quality.
To ensure the accuracy of experimental research, the results of the tests of the repaired injectors were compared by conducting research on two stands: BOSCH EPS 200 and CARBON ZAPP CRU 2R. These stands provide an opportunity to check Denso, Delphi and Piezo type diesel fuel injectors of the common rail system used in cars. During the research, the operating parameters of the injectors were changed on the stands. Both the initial and after the repair of the injectors, operating parameters were recorded.
The results obtained showed that bench tests should not be evaluated separately, but as complementary methods. Bench tests allow to identify changes in the operation of the injectors and determine possible risks due to the injector opening at a lower pressure. By combining bench tests of injectors with real-world engine emissions assessment, it is possible to objectively assess the suitability of injectors' performance and thus make technologically sound injector repair decisions.
