Abstract

In recent years, a great interest has been observed in the use of drones in geodetic measurements, drones can be used to collect data from which 3D models and maps are made. This technology creates new opportunities and allows geodetic measurements to be performed faster. Fixed-wing or rotary drones can be used for manual, semi-automatic or autonomous flights. One of the fundamental problems faced by surveyors using drones is the accuracy of the data obtained. In this study, one of the most popular and most frequently used drones by Lithuanian geodesists is used. Data acquired in the area with a GNSS receiver was used to assess the accuracy of the drone data. AutoCAD software is used, with the help of which 3D models of data obtained by different methods are created, height profiles, GNSS receiver data are considered accurate in this work. After the investigation, it was found that the data of the drone is not accurate, the error reaches 50cm, so the drones can only be used when making class C and D plans.
