Barriers to inclusive early childhood intervention in Latvia: insights from professionals and families

Abstract

This qualitative study examines the real-life implementation of core early childhood intervention (ECI) principles – family-centred practice, transdisciplinary teamwork, and natural-context support – in Latvia. Interview data from professionals and parents reveal systemic, relational, and practical barriers to inclusive ECI delivery.
