Overcoming barriers through games: innovative language teaching in inclusive classrooms

Abstract

In inclusive classrooms with students who have diverse learning needs, it is extremely challenging to engage them in reading and writing activities and instil a relevance for them using traditional teaching methods. In this study, the role of game-based learning environments in helping students acquire reading and writing skills in inclusive classrooms is examined and interpreted in light of the results of a six-week implementation.
