Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the dependence of linear conveyor vibrations on the belt type and to determine the influence of belt condition on the dynamic response of the structure. Experimental measurements were carried out using Brüel & Kjær accelerometer equipment and PULSE analysis software. The collected data were processed using autospectral (FFT), envelope, and cepstrum analyses.

The system was tested with worn, new, and one-year operated belts, as well as when the conveyor operated together with the entire conveyor system. The results showed that a new belt reduces low-frequency impulses and vibration energy, while the amplitudes gradually increase during operation. The operation of the conveyor system generates additional low-frequency vibrations; however, their intensity does not exceed permissible limits.
