INFLUENCE OF BORON, MOLYBDENUM AND PHOSPHORUS FERTILIZATION ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF BEANS CROP

This study investigates the effects of boron, molybdenum, and phosphorus spraying on the growth, yield, and seed protein content of different faba bean cultivars. The aim of the research was to determine the influence of boron, molybdenum, and phosphorus foliar application on growth and productivity parameters of different bean varieties. A field experiment was conducted with two faba bean cultivars: 'Bobas' and 'Mercur'. Three treatments were applied: control, Bo+Mo (boron + molybdenum), and Bo+Mo+P (boron + molybdenum + phosphorus). During the field experiment, plant height, seed protein content, and seed yield were evaluated. The results showed that the Bo+Mo+P treatment had the strongest positive effect on the analysed parameters. The highest yield was obtained in the 'Bobas' cultivar treated with Bo+Mo+P fertilizers, reaching 5.75 t ha⁻¹. In the same treatment, the highest seed protein content (30.4%) and plant height (157.6 cm) were also recorded. The analysis of the experimental data indicates that the effectiveness of these fertilizers depends on the cultivar, and that the application of boron, molybdenum, and phosphorus can significantly increase faba bean productivity and improve quality parameters.
