In modern supply chains, the efficiency of logistics processes has become one of the key factors determining organizational competitiveness. As the volume of goods flows increases and delivery time requirements grow, logistics terminals increasingly apply advanced distribution methods, among which cross-docking warehousing plays a significant role. This system allows companies to reduce the need for traditional warehousing, accelerate the movement of goods, and optimize logistics processes. The aim of the study is to analyze the importance of cross-docking warehousing and its improvement opportunities in logistics terminals. The research is based on a scientific literature analysis that allowed the examination of cross-docking organization principles and the identification of the main factors influencing the efficiency of this logistics system. The results of the study show that the efficiency of cross-docking operations depends on effective transport flow planning, coordination of information flows among supply chain participants, and the application of information technologies in logistics processes. Warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, real-time tracking solutions, and modernized terminal infrastructure contribute to more efficient coordination of logistics operations. In conclusion, cross-docking warehousing plays an important role in improving logistics process management and increasing the competitiveness of supply chains.
