THE APPLICATION OF ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN LOGISTICS

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is one of the fastest-growing technologies in today‘s business operations. The aim of this paper is to identify and evaluate the potential applications of RPA technology and to assess the benefits it brings to business operations, First part of this paper examines the requirements for implementing RPA technology and the main areas where the technology can be applied to increase efficiency. Second part of the research analyzes the benefits of RPA technology for organizations and identifies the key indicators that demonstrate and evaluate the successful implementation of RPA technology. The last part of the research involves a quantitative analysis of data from eight different organizations, examining process metrics before and after implementation of RPA technology. The results show that after implementing RPA technology and fully automating operational processes, their execution time decreased by an average of 77 percent and the error rate decreased from 6,8 percent to 0,3 percent, with many companies able to ensure guaranteed data quality. The results confirm that the application of RPA technology significantly increases organizational efficiency and process quality. These results are mostly recognizable in companies handling large volumes of data such as logistics, data analytics, finance and other sectors.
