SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN LOGISTICS COMPANY "X"

Abstract

This article analyses the issue of sustainable transport in the field of logistics, emphasizing the increasing environmental requirements for companies and the impact of the transport sector on the environment. Transport is considered one of the main sources of greenhouse gases, therefore it becomes especially important for logistics organizations to implement sustainable transport methods that allow reducing emissions and at the same time maintaining operational efficiency and competitiveness. The purpose of the study is to clarify the situation of sustainable transport in the company "X" and to identify directions in which the organization could purposefully seek to improve sustainable transport. The following research methods were applied: analysis of scientific literature, generalization, case study and empirical study. After analysing the situation of sustainable transport in the company "X", it was determined that the implementation of environmentally friendly transport solutions forms the basis for reducing harmful environmental impacts, optimizing costs and increasing labour productivity. The results of the study show that the purposeful development of sustainable transport is a significant condition for strengthening the long-term competitiveness of the company.
