Abstract

Digitalization and the development of information technologies have a significant impact on the management of organizational activities, especially in companies characterized by large flows of information and documents. Agricultural product procurement companies process large volumes of documents on a daily basis related to contracts, accounting, logistics, and settlements with suppliers. Therefore, the application of document management systems becomes an important tool for increasing operational efficiency, reducing the risk of errors, and ensuring faster access to documents. The aim of this article is to analyse the activity management factors determining the need for the application of document management systems in agricultural product procurement companies. The research applies the method of scientific literature analysis, which allows the assessment of the significance of document management systems for organizational activity management and the identification of the main factors influencing their application. The analysis of scientific sources seeks to reveal the importance of document management systems for information management and their impact on the efficiency of organizational activities. The results of the study revealed the main activity management factors determining the need for the application of document management systems and their impact on the efficiency of work processes. The findings justify the importance of document management systems for the effective management of document and information flows and for the coordination of operational processes in agricultural product procurement companies.
