RESEARCH OF DIFFERENT WINTER WHEAT VARIETIES

Abstract

In this research paper, different winter wheat cultivars were studied to investigate the effects of different winter wheat cultivars on weed germination, soil weed seed content and winter wheat grain yield. The study was conducted in 2022–2023. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of different winter wheat varieties on the crop. The crop is the winter form of common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The selected winter wheat varieties - 'Angelus', 'Euphoria' and 'Informer' had no significant effect on the weediness of the crop, the amount of weed seeds in the soil and the yield of winter wheat grains, but it was found that the highest number of weed seedlings was in the 'Euphoria' variety, the most weed seeds found in the 'Informer' variety and the best grain yield was achieved by the 'Angelus' variety.
