Abstract

This article analyzes opportunities for process improvement through the implementation of smart technologies. With competition in the modern logistics market growing rapidly, it is crucial to stand out and stay one step ahead of the competition. To attract customers’ attention in one way or another, it is crucial to optimize logistics processes, and one way to do this is by implementing smart technologies. Smart technologies offer significant advantages to organizations; they can help optimize transportation and warehousing alongside supply chain management, improve communication between different components of the logistics network, and help reduce costs while enhancing the quality of production and customer service by avoiding delivery delays. Although smart technologies offer many benefits, they also present certain challenges, such as high costs, maintenance requirements, and technological vulnerabilities; these are just a few of the key drawbacks that companies must evaluate before implementing this technology. An analysis of the literature revealed that logistics is a complex, interconnected system of processes, the efficiency of which is essential for reducing operational costs and increasing customer satisfaction, and the implementation of smart technologies is an excellent means of ensuring more efficient logistics processes.
