Abstract

With the increase in the area of urbanized areas, the growth of the flow of cars and the implementation of construction without taking into account the challenges posed by climate change, the problems of collecting, treating and disposing of surface wastewater become very acute. The area of impermeable pavings in Vilnius city has increased by 12% in 7 years, most of the surface wastewater is generated during the spring flood and during the summer rains. This article presents an analysis of the reconstruction of the surface sewage networks of Vilnius city. Selected objects for analysis: T. Narbutas and Saltoniškių st. (reconstruction of the surface sewage collector) and taurupės str. 12A, reconstruction projects of surface wastewater treatment plants located in Karoliniškės. The volumes of surface wastewater flows at the objects conditionally increase, but do not exceed the calculated theoretical flow rate. The average annual indicators of petroleum products and indicators of drowning substances do not exceed the permissible values.
