The research was carried out in a small-leaved linden (Tilia cordata Mill) seed plantation, which was planted in Rokiškis subdivision, Alizava forestry. The study was conducted in 2022 from April to September. Detailed inspection of the plantation was carried out in the spring. Linden canopies and trunks were inspected. Catching and identifying insects took place during the summer. Identified pests and more dangerous infectious diseases and their causative agents. The investigation revealed that there are few linden trees in good condition in the seed plantation. Pests that cause damage to lindens are the spruce sawfly (Lygaeonematus abietinus Christ.) and the shield bug (Pentatomidae). A pathogen dangerous to linden trees has been identified, which has a significant impact on the health of the trees. This is the pathogen Thyrostroma compactus, which causes the drying of shoots and twigs. Signs of necrosis (Nectria cinnabarina) were also found on the twigs damaged by the pathogen. The study shows that not only pests, infectious diseases or their agents, but also abiotic factors have a significant influence on the condition of linden trees. Abiotic factors affecting lindens are mechanical damage by humans and animals, water shortage and excess.
