MULTICROPPING EFFECT ON SOIL

Abstract

Soil degradation is serious worldwide environmental problem a way to solve this problem may be use of multicropping. A stationary field experiment was carried out at the Experimental Station of Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania, in 2022. Multicropping of maize, hemp and faba bean were investigated. The object of this study was to investigate effect of mullticropping on soil aggregate structure and soil structure stability. Results of study showed that effect of multicropping on soil aggregate structure and soil structure stability was statistically insignificant.
