Abstract

Under the influence of additional pressures of multipurpose structures, compaction of the base-forming soils occurs, as a results of  which, in turn, causes the subsidence of the earth‘s surface. When designing the foundations of a wind turbine, problems such as settlement deposits and changes in the water level of the soil are encountered. To design the foundation, you need to know the transmitted loads, technical requirements for construction, strenghts and stresses associated with deformation of the soil, which will support the foundation system. Therefore, the work analyzed the settlements of the foundation at different depths of groundwater. The problems caused by sedimentary deposits were also reviewed. In order to reduce the resulting settlements, a drainage system could be installed or inlets could be hammered.
