Abstract

There are many bridges and viaducts in Lithuania, of which we even have over 4,000. Bridges can be classified according to the complexity of construction, materials from which they are built, and purpose. The main materials are named as wood, metal, and reinforced concrete. According to the static scheme, bridges can be divided into: girder, truss, arch, cable-stayed, suspension and combined. The purpose of this work is to determine the most rational option for the reconstruction of the maintenance bridge of the Swiss Hydro node, evaluating the restoration of the columns of the existing girder bridge, restoring their cross-section and selecting a new overlay. At work, design calculations are performed with the "Robot structural analysis 2023" program. After creating a model of the existing maintenance bridge in the program environment and setting the required loads, such as (Specific weight, payload, wind, snow, ice) and simulating the possible options, it was determined that the options sufficient to support the loads would be: wooden beams 250×200 mm (class C30) ; reinforced concrete beams 250×200 mm (class C25/30), metal beams from profile HEB 140 (class S355). After performing economic calculations, it was found that the most rational solution would be to choose a metal structure with HEB 140 profile, S355 class.
