Keywords:
agriculture, GHG emissions, decomposition analysisAbstract
The main goal of the article was to identify and evaluate the factors affecting greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sectors of the Baltic States. The article reveals the sources of GHG emissions in the agricultural sectors of the Baltic countries, as well as the possibilities of reducing these emissions. To perform the analysis, the methods of comparison, grouping, systematization, analysis of scientific literature, graphic representation were used. The decomposition analysis method is used for the analysis of changes in GHG emissions and indicators related to them, which allows to understand the influence of factors on GHG emissions and allows these factors to be evaluated. Efficient use of technology and related management of the agriculture sector has been singled out as a way to reduce GHG emissions without economic damage.
