Abstract

The study was carried out in 2022 in a park of old oak clones planted in the territory of Lietuvos Liaudies Buities Museum. The study assessed the spring bud burst and autumn leaf yellowing stages of 100 oak clones. Due to the presence of herbaceous vegetation, only 87 clones of the oldest trees were evaluated, the rest died. The traits were assessed according to the methodologies of international genetic projects.

The analysis of the data collected showed that the old-growth clones were fully leafed out on 5 June and that all the oak trees had already shed their leaves on 31 October. The correlation between the stages of leaf yellowing and leaf burst was strong and statistically significant at the individual level. The coefficient of inheritance of the phenological traits ranged from 0.41 to 0.90.
