The paper examines the concept of competitiveness at the industry level and presents the methods used to assess the competitiveness of the sector at the international level, as well as an assessment of the international competitiveness of the Lithuanian poultry sector. The aim of this paper is to assess the international competitiveness of the Lithuanian poultry sector. The study used a literature analysis approach to understand the concept of sectoral competitiveness and to identify the most used methods for assessing the sector's international competitiveness. The assessment of the international competitiveness of the Lithuanian poultry sector is carried out using the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Relative Trade Advantage (RTA) methods. The analysis of international competitiveness in the poultry sector using the RCA method shows that Lithuania specializes in the export of poultry products. RTA, during the period of 2020-2021, showed the lack of a competitive advantage.
