Abstract

The article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of the partial freight market. The difficulties faced by companies in developing these activities are described in detail. The global supply chain felt stable until 2019, but the onset of the pandemic highlighted its shortcomings, such as a shortage of drivers and uncoordinated work between suppliers, carriers and recipients. This was felt as freight volumes fell by about 15-25% as soon as the pandemic began. thus, companies wishing to engage in the transport of partial loads had to carry out internal and external restructuring, expand their cooperation networks and strengthen existing ones in order to remain competitive. Companies that were able to adapt to the situation felt an increase of about 10-15% in the number of partial loads transported. There has also been a significant increase in contactless deliveries of goods through e-commerce.
