Abstract

In this scientific article, I analyzed the damage caused by wolves to farm animals in the territory of Kalvarija municipality in 2019-2021. Data were collected from the Department of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Kalvarija for the period from 2019 to 2021. The distribution of damage caused by wolves in the territory of Kalvarija municipality was determined, which is mainly in Kalvarija and Sangrūda elderships. The explanatory regularity of the damage caused by wolves, taking into account the distribution of damage during the season, was determined when the highest number of cases of damage in three years is from July to October, which may affect the ability of wolves to hunt new wolves.
Explaining the regularity of the damage caused by wolves according to the type and number of slaughtered farm animals during 2019 - 2021, that a total of 51 farm animals were slaughtered, of which sheep were mostly slaughtered. The data were processed in Microsoft Excel.
