Abstract

The accuracy of the sonic tomograph in the assortment of aspens is investigated in research. The object of the work - aspen assortments with aspen rot were selected. The data of the sonic tomograph are compared according to the scales recommended by the manufacturer and the rot visible in kind. Image J program was chosen to analyze the range of aspens. The main objective was to find the most appropriate scale to examine the rot of the aspen bracket. The recommended scale is not suitable for assessing the rot caused by aspen bracket in aspen wood. It is best to use such a measuring scale (550-1050 m/s) to determine the rot caused by aspen bracket in fresh aspen wood.
