Abstract

The research was carried out in Agurkiškė, Braziūkai, Nova, Višakio Rūda, Jūra, Bagotoji and Šališkės forest districts of the State Forest Enterprise Kazlų Rūda regional subdivision.
Data for the study were collected from 12 sites, 5 barrels per site, and 15 barrels for each quarter of the year. The total area of logging sites is 21.1 ha. Based on the results of the study, the time of felling has a clearly visible effect on the recovery of black alder. Black alder forests that were cut down in the 1st quarter of the year (January-March) were also found to recover best. The effect of the time of felling on the sanitary condition of the trees was not observed.
