Abstract

The studies were carried out in 2021 at the VDU Agricultural Academy Test Station. The aim of the experiment was to determine the influence of tillage intensity and straw incorporation on spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) productivity. Treatments of the experiment, including straws and different tillage, affected crop productivity. The results of the studies have shown that due to tillage intensity and straw incorporation crop quality changed. During experiment time, there was a tendency of increasing the starch content of the grains and mass of hectolitre due to straw incorporation, compared with fields, where straw were removed. The study found that deep ploughing increased proteins of the grains and mass of hectolitre. Intermediate crop and direct seeding were the main factors, which decreased grains mass of hectolitre, thus mentioned factors did not influence other elements.
