Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to determine how different fertilizers and planting density influence productivity and quality of hemp. The experiment was carried out in the fields of Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, Institute of Agriculture, in Kedainiai district, Akademija in 2021. The results show that the biggest biomass of hemp was acquired from the fields, that were fertilized with mineral fertilizers N150 K60 P60 (depending on hemp growth stage the biomass differed from 19,86 to 33,87 t ha-1). Organic fertilizers also did a great impact on hemp biomass productivity, it was greater than control, but never reached the productivity with complex fertilizers. The biggest biomass yield was produced until the blooming of hemp, after this period, biomass yield started to decline. The greatest amount of CBD oils (12,05 and 14,80 mg g-1) was found in hemp plants that did not get additional amount of nitrogen fertilizers, while the plants that were fertilized, accumulated at times even 2 times less CBD oils. In conclusion mineral and organic fertilizers had the biggest impact on biomass yield, but for CBD oil accumulation in hem florescence it is best to not use any nitrogen fertilizers.
